This document is the final product of the strategic planning process. It was built from the findings in the reports included below. This final plan document outlines the details of the planning process in Southside, establishes the community's shared vision for the future, and identifies development goals and an implementation strategy to make the community's vision a reality. COMMUNITY
FACTBOOK.
The Community Factbook is an analysis of the existing conditions and trends for the city of Argo, AL. It is the first step in a four pronged approach to create and implement a strategic master plan for the community. This report was compiled using research from sources such as the US Census, the American Community Survey, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and other recent state data. As an objective analysis, this report does not include any results of public input or stakeholder interviews. The data in the report should be used to spark critical thinking and conversations about the future of Argo and to identify important topics for further exploration in the comprehensive planning process. ARGO
SPEAKS.
Argo SPEAKS is an analysis of findings from the public input phase of the master planning process. It is the second step in a four pronged approach to create and implement a strategic master plan for the community. This report was compiled using input from community and stakeholder meetings as well as an online survey and comments left on this website. As an objective analysis, this report presents the input of Argo residents as given, without drawing any final conclusions or recommendations. The data in the report will eventually be used to formulate specific goals and actions in the plan development phase of the planning process.
